This Post Graduation in IT Governance, from Instituto Superior de Gestão, includes in its study plan the course of Introduction to Business Process Management, that will be teached by Jorge S. Coelho.

In this first event, organized by the Management Informatics course teachers from ISPGaya, Jorge S. Coelho was present in representation of SisConsult.
“The Business Process Management impact in the organizations and in the information’s systems” was the focus of his presentation, which contributed for the discussion about the new trends of management and tecnology.

SisConsult was present on the 4th meeting of the Club des Pilotes de Processus which took place in Paris on the 21st November.
Based on the attached program, we can highlight the three simultaneous sessions about business processes in Services, Industry and Public Administration.

SisConsult was present in this event about Information Systems in the Public Administration. It took place the 16th October, with Special Interest Groups. In the event participants discussed relevant and actual themes about Information Systems.
Some successful cases where presented on the day after, among them the SMAS Loures (Municipal Water Company), which consisted on the implementation of the Mlearn methodology using the MooD tool for process modelling.

This first edition of the Post Graduation in Information Management and Marketing Intelligence, by Escola de Gestão do Porto – University of Porto Business School , and includes the discipline of Organizational Processes and Quality Systems taught by Jorge S. Coelho.

BPM Network first meeting was held in Gent, Belgium, with the representation of the following founding members: Belgium (BPM-Forum Belgium), France (Club des Pilotes de Processus, C2P), Ireland (Process Innovation Forum), Italy (BPMarea), the Netherlands (BPM-Forum Netherlands) and Portugal (IPBPM).

It was decided to adopt the designation of PROCESS COMMUNITY and to open the organization to other countries, including outside Europe countries.

The Escuela Superior de Informática from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain organized an Internacional course related to Business Process and Software Engineering.
Jorge S. Coelho was one of the international speakers and had the oportunity to presente the Mlearn Methodology “Mlearn - an effective methodology to implement a Business Process-Managed Organization“.

In the CAISE 08 (Conference on Advanced Information Systems Engineering), realized in Montpellier, was presented a tutorial together with Monique Snoeck (Katholieke Universiteit de Leuven - Bélgica) and Jorge S. Coelho (SisConsult), under the subject “Bridging the Business Model and the IT Model”.
